Balkan Panorama Motorcycle Tour in Albania

Balkan Panorama is a 13-day tour of the Balkan Peninsula which starts in Tirana, Albania. On Day 2, bikers will explore Budva in Montenegro and on Day 3, we will visit the medieval city of Kotor before heading to the beautiful nature of Montenegro. Day 4 will take us to Peja in Kosovo, where we will visit an Orthodox Monastery. Day 5 will see us visiting Prizren before continuing on to Skopje in Northern Macedonia. On Day 6, we will travel to Ohrid through the Mavrovo National Park. Day 7 will take us to Lake Prespa and the city of Korca in Albania before heading to Rehova. Day 8 will take us to the Langarice Canyon and the city of Gjirokastra in Albania. Day 9 will see us visiting the archeological site of Butrint before heading to Himara. Day 10 is a day of relaxation and rest near the blue waters of the Ionian Sea. Day 11 we will leave Himara behind to rediscover the Riviera and its turns. Arriving in the city of Berat you will discover the history of this 2400-year-old city. In day 12 we will leave for the city of Tirana. The trip will be characterized by bends, numerous lakes, typical villages and cultivated agricultural lands. We will make a stop in the Belsh area to consume a refreshing drink on the edge of one of the many lakes. Day 13. Departure from Tirana.

Day 1. Tirana

Day 2. Tirana- Budva (180 km)

In the morning we will depart towards the city of Budva in Montenegro. After crossing the border, you will explore one of the most beautiful areas of Montenegro, the Montenegrin Riviera. The mountains that fall directly above the Adriatic Sea create magnificent bays. Small towns and coastal villages decorate this Riviera. The small inhabited island of Saint Stephen creates the idea of the lifestyle “La dolce vita”. In the afternoon we will arrive in the old and beautiful city of Budva. The Venetian style of the old part of town and the numerous bars give a class to this coastal town.

Day 3. Budva – Kotor – Njegusi – Kolasin (170 km)

We will leave behind the city of Budva to go to the wonderful city of Kotor. This medieval city is part of UNESCO and the visits we will make to it will take us back in time. Then we will leave for the village of Njegus. Numerous ascending turns make it possible to see and better understand why it is otherwise called “Kotor Mouth” the entrance of the Adriatic Sea to the interior of the city of Kotor. Then we will leave behind the sea to find the wonderful nature of the nature of Montenegro. The Kolasin region best represents this beautiful nature.

Day 4. Kolasin – Peja (150 km)

In the morning we will leave for the city of Peja in Kosovo. Our journey will start with many turns that wind in the mountains filled with black pine trees from where it takes its name and the state of Montenegro. After crossing the border, we will go down to the city of Peja. In this city we will pay a visit to an Orthodox Monastery which is part of UNESCO. Then you will have free time in the old quarter of the city where there is an old market.

Day 5. Peja – Prizren – Skopje (180 km)

We will leave the city of Peja to go to the characteristic city of Prizren. During today’s trip you will explore some villages, small towns which create an idea of the daily life of Kosovars. In the city of Prizren we will pay a visit to the city center. Then we will leave for the capital of Northern Macedonia, Skopje. To go to Skopje we will pass a spectacular mountain area, that of the Shar mountains. In Skopje you will be impressed by the Magnificence and the quantity of monuments of different characters of the history of this country that dominate the main square of the city. We will learn more about the ancient and rich history of this country during our visits.

Day 6. Skopje – Ohrid (from Mavrovo) (200km)

In the morning we will leave for the city of Ohrid. After leaving a few kilometers of highway we will rediscover nature. Our trip will cross the Mavrovo National Park and the numerous forests will accompany us during this day. In the afternoon we will be in the city of Ohrid. This city is located by the lake of the same name and are both part of UNESCO. The old history is intertwined with the rich flora and fauna of this lake which is also one of the oldest and deepest in Europe. You will explore and enjoy this beautiful city.

Day 7. Ohrid – Lake Prespa – Korca – Rehove (150 km)

We will leave the city of Ohrid to go to Lake Prespa. In the first part of the day we will follow the shore of Lake Ohrid to climb to the national park of Galicica which offers stunning views over the two lakes, that of Ohrid and Prespa. After crossing the border, we will go to the city of Korca in Albania. We will make a stop in this charming city. Then we will set off towards the characteristic village of Rehova. In this village you will have the opportunity to exchange words and life experiences with the villagers. Local cuisine and hospitality will be quite present during your stay in this village.

Day 8. Rehove – Langarice Canyon – Gjirokastra (170 km)

In the morning we will leave towards Langarica Canyon. Today’s trip will be accompanied by another stunning and authentic landscape. Small towns, small villages, beautiful mountains and rivers will be part of today’s exploration. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Vjosa River, considered the only wild river in Europe, otherwise known as the “Blue Heart of Europe”. In the canyon of Langarica you will have the opportunity to spend some moments of relaxation in the baths with thermal waters. Then we will leave for Gjirokastra. In the afternoon we will arrive in the city of Gjirokastra. This city is otherwise known as the stone city and is part of UNESCO. You will have more information about this city during the visits.

Day 9.  Gjirokaster – Butrint – Himara (160 km)

In the morning we will leave for the archeological site of Butrint. Curves, beautiful views, lands planted with citrus will accompany us during today’s journey and at the end a very original raft will pass us across the Vivari canal which connects the Ionian Sea with Butrint Lake. The Butrint Archaeological Site is part of UNESCO. During the visit we will travel back in time commenting on the numerous monuments dating from the 8th century b.c. to the 19th century e.s. of different civilizations. Then we will set off towards one of the most beautiful regions of Albania, the Albanian Riviera. Typical Mediterranean landscapes will be part of this part of the day. In the evening you will have the opportunity to discover Albanian polyphonic songs which are part of UNESCO.

Day 11. Himara – Berat (190 km)

We will leave Himara behind to rediscover the Riviera and its turns. During today’s trip we will pass between the typical villages of the Riviera which have a wonderful panorama over the blue of the Ionian Sea. We will climb to an altitude of 1000 m and the landscape offered by the Llogara national park of alpine character will be very different from that of the Mediterranean Riviera. Arriving in the city of Berat you will discover the history of this 2400-year-old city. Berat is also known as the city of one-on-one windows and is part of UNESCO.

Day 12.  Berat – Tirana (120 km)

In the morning we will leave for the city of Tirana. Today’s trip will be characterized by bends, numerous lakes, typical villages and cultivated agricultural lands that give the impression of a multicolored carpet. We will make a stop in the Belsh area to consume a refreshing drink on the edge of one of the many lakes. Then we will set off towards the city of Tirana, passing by a winding road that offers wonderful panoramas.

Our Guided tours cost between 1000 and 5000 Eur, depending on the trip’s size and duration. The cost covers everything you’ll need during your stay, including bike rentals, fuel, meals, drinks, accommodations, and entry fees. The only thing not included is the flight cost. We also offer monthly pre-payment plans starting at 500Eu/month.

We offer four favorite guided tours that vary in length. The Mountains & Lakes tour lasts for two days, while the UNESCO and Albanian Riviera tour lasts for four days. The Authentic & Panorama tour is a six-day adventure, and the Balkan Panorama tour is an eleven-day journey.
